September 2022

- Highways - The developer I have been using to help me is leaving RCC Consulting and another developer has not been assigned to me yet. I am going to try and use a local developer who I should have been using all along. We hope to get started this week. Sept. 28
- Volkswagen / Fenkell requirement I put this off as long as I could with Ryan W. Telling me we may not have to do it. Now, he has left this department at VW and the Department Manager may require it. I am staying in contact with both of them to get a final ruling. IF it is determined, we need to do this, I will make it a priority with Item 1 above.
- Insurance - I have been trying to help obtain an insurance quote from Sentry, but it has been kind of messy. I hope they are able to give a competitive quote. Sept. 28
- Travel to Purcell - I would like to travel to the Purcell office and explain the new system and how I could possibly help with billing. Sept. 28
- Freight Verify reporting - Along with Item 1 above, the second priority is getting the reports to Freight Verify. It's spotty and I have to do a manual spreadsheet about every ten days.
August 2022
08/25/22 11:05
- Highways - Highways is installed on Jim's server which is named Sooner. Jacob and Jim say it is fully configured. No measurable progress has been made in the last month, as I am making needed repairs in Cloverleaf, temporary as they may be.
- Ford Vehicles downloaded and entered already working earlier in 2022
- Ford 2A automatically returned after item 2 above. *The best I have come up with is a manual triggered script that does this. We will have to look up any arrived railcars and click a button. AUG 19, This seems to be working well, I dont have to create 2A files anymore.
- Volkswagen files downloaded *Austin is working on the SENT and FILES system July 11, 2022. *Aug. This is working on my computer, but still not on the server (so that anyone would be able to use it). AV is working on that.
- Ford FreightVerify automatically uploaded. *This is hit and miss. I usually have to do an addendum once or twice a week to catch up.
- Automatically download and process Volkswagen I07 files. *AUG. We have to manually download a few times per day, create a new FILES record and place the I07 in the container. Natalie is able to do this from her desk. Then there is a script that processes. Let's extend this.
- Volkswagen files manually triggered and uploaded. *AUG. I am slowly getting this together. Working on the very first part of a script to build P01 and D09 files.
- Ford Billings manually triggered and uploaded. *About 30% complete. File is manually triggered, created and placed in a folder. We have to rename and place on server. It takes about two minutes.
- Fuel Analysis on JKAT fleet. This has proved to be more challenging than I thought. First, you have to get drivers to give an accurate odometer reading each time. This is improving. Then defining exactly what you want takes some thought. While that is happening, I am gathering daily fuel records and entering. I am thinking that we will use the data for the last 60 days of fuel purchases to compare the MPG and CPM averages.
- Chrysler able to be entered by anyone. *AUG. No more spot buys currently, so I am putting this on hold.
- Chrysler moving system EBMX to EMTS. *AUG 8, I spoke with Gerald (Jerry) Corey and he said that we will not pursue this since we are doing no more spot buys and can upload through OBT.
- Chrysler bills manually triggered. *AUG - we will make this a low low priority for now.
- Freightverify Carrier View service. *I talked to Greg Humes on July 20 and said that if it could simplify my FreightVerify Ford requirements (#5 above), I was interested. Followed up on Aug. 11.
- T-Mobile internet service. *This isn't going to work because we need 5 IP addresses. After we move cloverleaf to sooner.jkat.com, that will no longer be an issue. We could begin T-Mobile service which is $50 per month and has better speed than current.
- T-Mobile / Dialpad. *This is installed and we still have some questions to be answered. 1. Spreadsheet of SIM cards and Phone #'s. 2. $50 charge for internet will come off. 3. Dialpad fees seem excessive. 4. Edgar will address the connection delay problem. 5. We will receive a $250 credit. 6. If internet with 5 IP's becomes available, we would be interested. 7. Edgar will follow up 8/12. 8. Took the old Spectrum VOIP phones back to them. AUG 18 sent email to Edgar to tell him we are having about three issues.
- New Volkswagen / Fenkell Requirements. *AUG 8 I emailed Ryan at Volkswagen and he CC'd Tony Russo at Volkswagen to ask if small carriers can continue to use the web portal. Also, I have checked with Kevin, Natalie, Adam and Robert to see if they have any ideas on how to get subbed out deliveries forwarded to the Fenkell system. Kevin suggested having a dedicated email to send them to, then we would have to manually enter and forward. I am thinking Dalton could do the data entry. Other than that, no one has suggested anything. Perhaps Ryan and Tony will decide we don't need to do this. AUG 18, I emailed Ryan to see if he has heard anything. AUG 19, he has replied that there is no definite decision yet but it is doubtful we will be required to participate. Merely adding a Fenkell address to our ePOD delivery emails may suffice.
- Ford Billings - Current. AUG 19 √
- Chrysler Billings - Current. AUG 19 1 PROBLEM
- Volkswagen Billings - Current AUG 19 √
- Old Chrysler / DMA Billings - looking up
- Smartway certification for Dave Meeker was obtained in May.
- Dave Meeker Old Chrysler invoices - *AUG. 15, these have now all been paid. Notified Kevin and sent final check.
- Kips roof claim with Chrysler - AUG. 17. Claim 8645096220 has been turned in to insurance. Dawn Patz is the adjuster. JKAT Claim 9670

Let's Get Metaphysical
07/08/22 09:42
I am making a plan to get things underway. My ultimate goal is to have our current users opening Highways each day instead of Cloverleaf (even if I change the name to Cloverleaf. Clear?). Here are the first things to get in place:
JULY
JULY
- Things that are not anchored in Cloverleaf, that could be moved over and stand on their own
- Claims. We can create a new Claims table and import all of the existing claims here and begin adding new ones.
- Send, and Files. All new processes will be developed there instead of Cloverleaf
- Fuel MPG and CPM system.
Fuel Performance Reports
07/01/22 10:12
- The purpose of the report is to use the Loves and Fleet One fuel summaries to show all fuel transactions and keep a running tally of Miles Per Gallon and Cost Per Mile. Here are my current questions:
- Do you prefer the detailed report showing all the transactions of the past month for each truck? This report will be several pages long
- Or a more concise report giving only the summary for each truck?
- Right now, the non-JKAT trucks have been omitted. Are you sure you don't want every truck getting fueled?
- What else would you like to see on the report?
And you will always be able to log onto Cloverleaf and get as much detail as you want.
